The seduction of the senses is so penetrating, the caprices of the
imagination are so violent, that the spirit forges a sleep full of
delights, transports and delight or, at least, a novel of living and
varied sensuality; then, in the proper occasion, the suppressed stream
overflows, breaking the dikes of the law and the duty.
